Eagle Down

Posted by
PD (Kansas, United States) on 11 April 2009 in Animal & Insect.

While on a whale watch, we received a radio call that a bald eagle was in the water and could not get out. You may have seen this before since fellow AM3er's Bill and Josh were also with me. When the eagle's feathers get wet he cannot fly so has to try to swim to shore, but the current was strong and the water was cold.
