willow from Chelsea, United StatesIt seems a little surreal with this processing - in a good way. It's a great truck. Thanks for taking the time to look over my portfolio and thanks so much for your comments. And, yes, Sedona is correct. One of my favorites places on earth (so far anyway - I still have a lot to see). 11 Dec 2008 5:49am @willow: Thanks! We went to Sedona and Monument Valley last March - I will have to get out some of those pics soon! Bill from Belton, United StatesI like your HDR processing on the old Army truck Paul. Lookin' great! 11 Dec 2008 7:06am @Bill: Thanks Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomHi PD, thanks for your comment.! I really like old military stuff, and this hdr image looks great. 11 Dec 2008 10:44am @Observing: Thanks Observing! @idin: Hi Idin MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyReminds me of some truck photos done by Twelvebit / John. Even more surprising than this fine image is the fact that there are so many abandoned trucks in your country. :-) 11 Dec 2008 1:48pm @MadScientist: Thanks for the link - he has some nice shots. TRucks everywhere here :) Marie-Hélène Ammor from Casablanca/Paris, MoroccoI love this HDR :very beautiful !! 11 Dec 2008 2:20pm Chris from Nantes, FranceHDR is difficult isn't it? This doesn't seem to work for me. The brightness is too evenly spread out. This is only personal judgement, and I must say I am not that successfull in HDR myself. 13 Dec 2008 11:28am @Chris: I genearlly dont like the HDR images that you can tell are HDR - like this one. But sometimes it is a cool effect. I have just recently started playing with it. I use Photomatix, and it takes some time, but has not been all that hard so far. There are tutorials online if you are interested. here is one: http://hdr101.com/hdr-tutorial.html John from Eureka, United StatesI'm not familiar with the term HDR. I work in photoshop. What is HDR. I often wonder about the history of abandoned objects. Thanks for any information you can provide. 13 Dec 2008 8:28pm @John: John, HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. When you are trying to photograph a scene that has a wide range in the light levels - for example a scene with both bright sunlight and shadow areas - your camera's sensor cannot capture that wide of a range of light. dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesyow!! looks like your HDR skills are topping out at brilliant!!! :) this is just wonderful -- beautiful light, lines, subject matter and color!! i need to get around to doing some HDR myself... maybe that will be my new years resolution!!! :) sorry for posting and then 'ditching' last tuesday -- i ended up completely buried under work all week long... and decided to wait and try and catch up over the weekend! 16 Dec 2008 2:55am Nomad Flavor from United StatesNice shot. It reminds me of some old Trucks I once saw in Oklahoma before I got into Photography. 16 Dec 2008 6:58pm |
